If you’re a hip hop head and haven’t heard of Your Old Droog yet, you’re in a trouble bubble. Your Old Droog’s latest LP, “Packs,” isn’t something to sleep on. The obvious standout on this avalanche of lyricism is “Grandma Hips,” and one reason is the home boy Danny Brown throwing down hard in the second half of the song:
One phone call, now your family we targetin’
I’m about to wear my flow
Wrecking shit the parthenon
I walk in, they be like “who let the Martian in?”
Your Old Droog isn’t anyone to mess with though. Many have compared him to Nas. I would compare him to Doom (MF) for the technicality of his flow and alos for the fact that this whole album is pretty much produced by Your Old Droog himself as well. Also comparable to CZARFace. This is a Hip Hop album you really do not want to miss, espescially “Grandma Hips.”
